In celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Associação Brasileira de Direito Marítimo – ABDM (Brazilian Maritime Law Association), its Santos section will hold the 3rd Congress on Maritime and Port Law in Latin America’s largest port.
The event is organised by Santa Cecília University – Unisanta and, as in previous editions, ABDM’s member Proinde is one of the supporters.
The hybrid event will be held on 4 and 5 November 2021 at the Sheraton Santos Hotel. Registration for in-person attendance is sold out, but online registration remains available here.
Programme
The two-day event will bring together experts, authorities, academics, and Law students. Panellists will discuss commercial, operational, and legal aspects of maritime and port activities in Brazil.
Proinde partner Carlos Augusto Cabral will chair the sixth panel that will address cyber risks in the maritime and port industries.

Brazilian Maritime Law Association (ABDM)
ABDM was founded in 1961 and, since then, it has been affiliated to the Comité Maritime Internacional – CMI, which gathers national maritime law associations, international maritime authorities and advisory bodies.
The Association actively participates in the CCA-IMO consultative forum, headed by the Brazilian maritime authority, presenting suggestions and recommendations regarding the country’s position in matters under discussion in the various committees of the International Maritime Organization – IMO.
ABDM is open to membership by any professionals or companies linked to or interested in the maritime industry.
