OAB/RJ IV Conference on Maritime, Port and Sea Law

on 7 August 2018, the Rio de Janeiro branch of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB/RJ), held its Fourth Conference on Maritime, Port and Sea Law in its auditorium in downtown Rio de Janeiro.

In addition to speakers from the Brazilian Navy and the Maritime Tribunal, the event was attended by panellists from the union of shipping agents (Syndarma), union of shipowners (CentroNave), confederation of the pilot associations (Copanpra), offshore industry (ABEAM) Norwegian shipowners (ABRAN), naval engineering society (Sobena), national agency of waterway transportation (ANTAQ), P&I Club (Steamship Mutual), among other key actors of the Brazilian maritime community.

Our colleagues Jorge Tavares and Ricardo Martins participated in the full-day event that was divided into four discussion panels on new technologies and maritime logistics, navigation safety and techniques for accident investigation, international conventions and perspectives for the offshore industry.
