Following the company’s policy of recruiting staff at an early age, he was hired in 1987 as an apprentice and later worked as an in-house surveyor. After being trained as a correspondent in leading P&I clubs in Norway and England, he became a partner in 1995. A qualified container inspector, he completed a Law course and handles all types of P&I, H&M and FD&D claims. Ricardo is responsible for coordinating the company’s loss prevention initiatives and editor at large of our publications and this website.

Joined the company in 1993 after reading two years of Mechanical Engineering. Graduated in Business Administration and Law. Mauricio oversees the loss prevention exercises and retains particular expertise in the handling of personal injury cases. He was appointed partner in 2008.

Since 1995, when he joined as a cargo surveyor, Rogerio has handled a variety of cargo claims, particularly in the container and car trades, and assists the loss prevention staff. Rogerio is responsible for the company’s IT initiatives, including developing office databases and maintaining this website.

Rodrigo holds a certificate in Ship Operations from Lloyd’s Maritime Academy, a degree in Logistics and a post-graduation in Maritime Law. After a few years of living in the UK, he returned to Brazil in 2009 and joined a shipping agency in Santos, where he worked as a Boarding Clerk and later as the Operations Manager prior to joining Proinde in 2017. He handles P&I claims and assists in managing the loss prevention services performed by the operations team.

After graduating in Journalism, Isabela worked for a traditional shipping agency in Santos as an Import Assistant and lived for three years in Canada. She returned to Brazil in early 2019 to join Proinde, where she works in the operations department and supports the claims team.

After living in the USA for a year studying English, Isabela graduated in Marketing and advertising and is currently taking a law. An accredited Loss Adjuster, she joined the company in 2020 and handles the billing systems, assists the claims team, and manages the company’s marketing initiatives and social media.

Eduardo started his career in shipping at Proinde in 1994. After five years as a surveyor, he went to work for a number of local surveying and ship fumigation companies. In 2018, he returned to Proinde to help start the office in Barcarena, returning to the Santos office in 2020. He is a qualified surveyor and is taking an academic degree in port management.

Simpson was born in Canada and joined the office in 1996 and, following a stint in the hotel industry, he returned to the firm in 2005 to join the loss prevention team dedicated to surveys on steel products and agricultural commodities.

A technical accountant graduate, Carlos worked for three years in a local engineering company as an Occupational Health and Safety Technician before joining the company in 2003 as a junior cargo surveyor. Following a spell as an independent surveyor between 2015 and 2020, he rejoined the company as a cargo and draft surveyor. He also manages the company’s OSH procedures and certifications.

Daniel joined in 2010 following eight years of experience as a cargo loading controller and tally clerk in a major steel refinery port terminal. He conducts loss prevention surveys with the Operations team and is responsible for the company’s Internal Commission for the Prevention of Accidents (CIPA).
